The CHE community and the Nelson Institute welcomed Professor Jeff Spitz, who presented a special guest lecture on October 25, 2024, in celebration of the upcoming 25th anniversary of his groundbreaking film, The Return of Navajo Boy. The lecture explored the movie’s cultural impact and legacy, as well as how the project has evolved into a multi-media environmental justice campaign. It also explored best practices for how to respectfully approach storytelling and collaboration across cultures to create meaningful advocacy.
