In this Place-Based Workshop, CHE associates experienced both the spatial and temporal dimensions of Wisconsin railroads as they investigated histories of and along the tracks, experienced travel on the trains of today, explored reincarnations of trackage as bike and recreation trails, and imagined the future of rail lines in the state, all the while bearing in mind the importance of the railroad as a nexus of human lives, diverse landscapes, and mineral resources.
