CHE believes that environmental issues of the past and present cannot be understood fully if they are only studied by academics. This is why CHE seeks to engage the broader Madison community and the surrounding area by opening its events and activities to others who share its goals.

Become a CHE "Friend"

Whether you are associated with the UW-Madison or not, feel free to email our webmaster and ask to be added to our "friends" list. You'll receive announcements about the CHE Colloquium and other events and help us carry on the University of Wisconsin's tradition of taking knowledge beyond the bounds of campus.

Become a CHE Community Associate

For those interested in establishing more formal ties with CHE, we've created new category of "CHE community associate." Community associate status is open to anyone in the campus community and beyond whose work and interests similarly address questions relating to culture, history, and environment that define the Center's activities.
